Well, I initially thought that someone fiddled with it. 'Fiddled'
could mean any number of things, some of which are
not a reinstallation/re-imaging of windows.
Even though I appreciate your answering my thread, I
thought it prudent to wait and see if there were any
alternative explanations, i.e., a technical glitch that I
am not familiar with.
My comment was more of a general summation of the
answers I received, yours included. Your answer was
authoritative and succinct , but potentially fallible. You
have to give others a chance to reply too, be nice.
So, don't worry, you get some of the credit. |

I've had co-workers jump on my machine, for whatever reason and close my browser and programs I had going before they would do their thing.
Why would you do that? More than once too. |
Because they only use shortcuts on the desktop. They can't use the start me nu and ALWAYS delete the 'show desktop' button. They also don't know what minimize is.
Did they leave 3 Hangul, 5 internet explorer, nateon and about 15 pop up windows open for you to close? |

| Minimize your programs before they take over. They're "invisible" then. |

| I store any important files for a work computer on a flash stick. I just bought an 8gb Sandisk one for $30. They're really cheap these days. |

Same here. I have my coteachers and teachers who I don't even know use my computer when I'm not there. Then they'll leave their mess there too. I've always had to come back to dirty plastic cups stained with coffee, tea, etc. USED kleenex...ugh that crap is gross.. |

You work with pigs!!
Most teachers didn't bother with passwords, me included but we were told to use one and set the screensaver to prompt for it. |

Well I am more pissed than before.
I turned on my computer the day after the
changes and everything was fine.
So, I boot up today and the same thing.
My computer is back to the cleaned state.
Either someone is trying to royally piss me off
Or ..I dont know what..... |

You need to invest in a USB drive. Don't save anything to the school PC hard drive. Try this http://portableapps.com/ it is pretty cool. It has all the programmes you will need and you can use it to easily to work on your documents at home. I use it as an mp3 player as well (obviously you need a computer to play the music). It's good to use at PC bangs too.
Alternatively, use Google documents. It's too late now but in future, save nothing to your work computer. |

Point taken, I'm just going to save everything
to a USB drive from now on.
What a headache... |
