| I thought it was a good direction for the movies to go. I suppose if you really dug the over the top Brosnon movies then this wouldn't be your cup of tea. The only thing that really bothered me was the exploding building at the end. Who the heck has a building that blow up immediatly after on car crashing into it? |

I agree with pretty much all Bass said.
I kinda enjoyed the fight scenes and the foot chase early on though.
The two biggest downers for me were the secretive organisation not being fully exposed which made the evil plot not that evil (kinda like the Austin Powers... $1million comment). "We'll now charge everyone in Bolivia double for the water they drink! Muahahahaha"
And secondly, the cinema were I watched the movie only had Korean subs...which meant I was clueless in the scenes where French/Italian/Spanish were spoken. So in this regard, avoid CGV suwon. |

And stay away from the CGV in Seongbuk!! The walls are made of an insanely flammable cardboard-like material, and the heating is all hydrogen fueled...pumped into every room and stored in dangerously large aluminum pipes....
Just like those crazy Bolivian desert hotels..... deathtraps! |

Myongdong Cinus had nice, large seats. Unfortunately, I think the sub issue is probably at every theater. You don't miss much, though.
Cinus is a deathtrap, though. By that I mean that if they ever have a fire in there -- good luck. They block most of the stair exits down (except one in the back you have to ask for because there aren't any signs) wanting you to wait for the elevators.
A tip -- go down one floor and grab the elevator down there, because that's what many Koreans do, and when the elevator reaches the top floor, it's already full of people from the floor below who don't get off. |

Saw it this past weekend.
Note on the subs: My boyfriend speaks Korean and he said you didn't miss much with the alternate languages. Mainly, "Can I have a beer?" "No, not in a glass, in a bottle." "I'm leaving".
We talked about the movie afterwards, and I made the comment that although Bond was out for revenge, and it was stated frequently throughout the movie (mainly by M), I felt like Bond the character didn't actually look like he was out for revenge. All talk, no display sort of thing. And the hotel scene...pretty ridiculous.
In all, I enjoyed Casino Royale better because it was such a gritty, realistic portrayal of Bond (well...the car defibulator thing was a bit of a reach), totally unlike Brosnan flicks. Quantum of Solace did a good job of furthering the new, 'gritty' Bond characterization, but I left feeling like there was something lacking. |

| The movie was a bit of a bore. It was more like some average action movie than a James Bond movie. Where were the gadgets and the bad ass car? It's a simple formula. I can't fault them for trying to make it different but they really lost the character of the films by doing so. |
