| careful with GM. the government certainly will bail it out- but if you look at cases like fannie and freddie, equity holders got wiped out anyway. the equity is basically worthless, and so the government certainly has no responsibility to protect them. GM bonds though, they are interesting.. apparently trading at 25 cents on the dollar, if the government helps out, then there's a good chance they'll be able to pay those obligations. |
