Janet Napolitano is going to be taking on a huge job at DHS.
I just don't see the qualifications here.
The Governorship falls to the Republican Secretary of State, it doesn't upset the balance in congress. |

Commerce:
That could be a job for John McCain or even John Kerry.
I think Commerce is very important in the Health Care strategy because of big insurance, here is another industry that needs to be broken up into smaller units, too many ties to big banks. |

I am very disappointed.
At least she can be fired without impeachment. |

B. Obama is forming his administration much faster than B. Clinton did. Also, H. Clinton has accepted the SecState position today. The next govt is nearly formed and more or less now capable of moving into Washington for a more hands-on transition at the executive level, which I presume is exactly what the President-elect has in mind...

How is Obama going for "Change" with so many old Clinton era people on his staff?
I know he wants some experience in his cabinet to make up for his lack of, but come on, lets put some new fresh faces in there.
I like his consideration for keeping Gates as Secretary of Defense. Kinda like saying, "Hey, Republicans know how to defend our country. Lets keep this guy in here." |

That was my impression briefly.
But now I am interpreting it differently. He wants to "MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN" it seems to me...as the people he is choosing seems to be the kind of people who can make things happen. |
