It's a shitty CGI of a GW shark.

The REAL video on Planet Earth is astounding. That is garbage.

Quote:
At the peak of the jump the GW's tail is twisted in a horizontal position that is characteristic of aquatic mammals. That might explain the confusion.
Whales and GWs are both aquatic mammals.

A great white shark is a mammal??? Shocked Back to 3rd grade biology for you, man.

At first couple of looks I thought it could have been an orca. The very dark coloring on its top threw me a bit.

I think it's a killer whale...I've never seen the commercial, but without the song I thought it was a killer whale. Then debated, after I listened to it. But I vote whale.

You don't have to pause it. It's a shark.

What kind of zoology are they teaching the kids these days?

That's settled.

Yep the clincher Smile ....the GWs pectoral fins are the easiest to spot for confirmation,,, the killer whale has rounder pectoral flippers

here's another link with a good vid and pics: http://refernet.typepad.com/jdragon/2005/10/killer_whale_vs.html

OP, hope you didn't bet too much

At the risk of exposing myself as the geek I am, the stakes were choice of teams for a game of NHL '09 on X-Box 360. Meaning that my buddy will probably choose Team Canada for himself, and he'll choose some loser AHL team for me.

And with me conceding defeat, I guess the time has come to end this thread before it --dare I say it?--- jumps the shark Smile

Great Whites eat seals, as shown.

Killer whales also eat seals, as see-
http://kr.youtube.com/watch?v=pNnx_X5ue2c

better in my mind, as they come up on the beach and wait for the next wave to pull them back in. MASSIVE (mammal) NATURE IN MASSIVE DISPLAY.
