You will be glad to know that not only are there at least 2 South Korean restaurants on rat u thit road in Patong, but as of January 31, another one opened up beside the Yorkshire Inn.
It's all good, because South Korean food > French food
> Italian food
> Thai food
> Japanese food
> the best food

Agreed. I wish I knew if there were any Thai restaurants in Incheon. I have to travel all the way to Itaewon to get Thai food. Incheon is a gastronomic wasteland. 
As far as Korean restaurants in foreign countries, I believe it is the goal of the South Korean government to quadruple the number of Korean restaurants (from 10,000 to 40,000) in the next 7-8 years. You will never
be wanting for Kim-Chi after that, wherever you go. |

I see you and raise you $20. I live in Songdo on the outskirts of Incheon and they are making sure this international city is anything but international when it comes to food. There are no wet eyes when from expats leaving the city. |

| If there were some in Incheon, chances are they would be overpriced and not very tasty. I think anywhere in Korea outside of Sinchon, Hongdae, Itaewon, Gangnam, Hyehwa can be a gastronomic wasteland. |

It always baffles me why Koreans complain so much about Thai food. When they actually use a lot of the same spices and cooking methods.
I can walk into any Thai restaurant and order something that is similar to bulgogi but much better. One reason why the Thai version is better they don't pour heaps of sugar into it. |

I ate Phat Thai in Incheon for 6900won last night.
However, earlier in the thread someone mentioned about 40 korean restaurants in Saigon-while that's good, I will only be there for 10 nights and 9 days, so I cannot possibly hit them all. |

| Korean food is make by tradition and history. Ingredients include everything need for strong physical and emotion. Other country food is slime and unhappiness. |

Korean restaurants are popping up all around the world. Not only are non Koreans developing a interest in it, but Koreans who travel tend to be opposed to eating anything that's not Korean cuisine.
I like eating Korean food a few times each week,. so I welcome its proliferation as I presently have no intentions of staying here in the future. |

To be honest, I've always been disappointed when eating Korean food abroad. It just doesn't taste the same as it does back in the motherland. Must be something to do with the unique four seasons and diligence of the general population that make this taste frankly impossible to recreate outside of the kingdom. That's why travelling Koreans take their food with them.  |

A lot of Koreans hate thai food, Indian food etc.. they say its NOT DELICIOUS so they prefer to eat Korean food! 
yeah ok, if your idea of Over Boiled vegetables in super boiling hot water with red pepper paste Delicious! then be my guest!
I'll stick with the not delicious Thai food in Thailand!
