I had a wisdom tooth pulled on the 30th. I was expected to take 2 classes only 20mins after coming out of surgery- despite being unable to open my bleeding mouth.
Of course, i refused, and went home- but only after the supervisor insisted that the director see the damage for himself....
These people would have you teaching even if you had just been run over and broken both legs.
