Exactly! Peace and non-violence should be the last thing we tolerate on a religious holiday. Laughing Talk about disrespecting Buddhist principles.

Maybe they don't have proper visas as they keep their place that they live a secret.

Ask one of them to tell you where they live. They will say it is a secret. Friggin freaks they are.

Can't we just laugh them off the face of the earth?

They are trying to get to their own planet anyway.

Also, why is it so easy for everyone to ridicule Mormons while other religions seem to get a free pass? Why can't we be more even-handed when it comes to ridiculing religion?

If you can ridicule one, you can ridicule them all. Stop slacking already.

"What kind of visa are Mormons on?", you ask?

Well, like most of us foreign teachers who can no longer so easily get an E2, the latter day kind, of course... Laughing

It's called "RELIGION".

The effects are stronger than recreational drugs, and last much longer, sometimes even a lifetime.

Symptoms include delusion, confusion, arrogance, hypocrisy, repressed desire, co-dependence, ignorance and distrust of basic scientific principles, belief in fairy tales, group-think mentality, and a need to spread the addiction to others in the belief that spreading the disease earns them favor with an imaginary sky god.

Those darn Mormons better change their official name because, just going by how many people read "mormon" as moron, it is clear there is some seriously damaging word association going on in the minds of westerners.

They did. Many Mormon friends of mine told me they preferred their church referred to as "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" or "The LDS church" because of the negative connotations associated with "Mormon". It doesn't help me, though. I get "LDS" and "LSD" mixed up.

It really didn't have anything to do with mormon/moron, though. It's more that everyone in America has heard "Mormons are the devil!" whereas not everyone has heard "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the devil!"

I like how the pretend to respect other religions but if you push them they still come out with the crap that theirs is the only real one.

Arrogance flows out of these people like overpriced coffee at Starbucks.

Of course they're arrogant. Mormons take of each other like no other religion, which is a misnomer. Mormonism is a cult, not a religion. But I digress. If you're a mormon in Salt Lake City, you have it made. A good job is there for you. But the best of those jobs go to the ones who've pulled the two-year missions, meaning most young adult mormons go on missions (since they can't afford not to go on missions). First things a mormon does when he returns home from his mission are kiss his mother and update his resume. And not necessarily in that order.

I bet those mormons up in Chiang Mai at the Wat, those that claimed they were 'only teaching English', were fully decked out in their black name badges and were wearing their Gordon Hinkley ties, white shirts, and black pants. I also bet that they were there as a pair, as they usually travel in pairs.

Alright. I think Christians are weirdos, too. Seriously weird.
