If the team was developmentally challenged and only had a pool of 16 girls(i heard on the radio) then they shouldn't have been playing in the first place.

| Back when I was playing bantam hockey in Alberta we played a team from a reservation in north Sask. They were incredible.. I still clearly remember how embarrassed we were (and we were an excellent team). They scored 5 or so goals in the first period and we had zero shots. In the second and third, they clearly let up, let us shoot and essentially played 'chicken' for 40 minutes. They did not score after the first, though prolly could have at least a dozen times. I had huge respect for them not humiliating us. Huge respect. |
I assume chicken is keep ball. In any sport I have played this is a pretty big insult. I have no idea what else it could be. They had no respect for you yet you had massive respect for them. Ironic.
Any team that ever tried to just play it out, the physicality of that game would get ratcheted up or our coach would not have been happy. They start playing easy, start hitting. It seems to me in that game you guys let up just as much as them.
edit: i have no idea what bantam hockey is however so chicken may have a completely different meaning. |
