| Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and The Wedding Singer were good. The rest? Eh average at best. |

[quote="Chuvok"]Little Nicky is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen. But that was back in 2000.

So YOU were the one who liked it!
The rest of the world found it painfully embarrasing..

he had his little thing going for him.. was great in the early 90's when he made his film debut.. but like the OP said, his style is getting boring..
he acts the same all the time... that shouting, and cute little voices thing gets old now...
but even Ben Stiller is getting boring.. playing the idiot gets old too...
then again, I guess most of the famous comedians are getting old..
Jim Carey, was very funny with his stupid style.. but now also boring..
we need a new breed of comedians |

| What was the movie in which he adopts the little blond boy and teaches him all sorts of inapropriate behavior? Anyway i was watching this movie with Korean friends. In one scene he shows the boy how to urinate in public right on some shop door. I thought this was slightly amusing, but the Koreans were confused as to why this behavior was odd. |

| Come on. You didn't like him in Happy Gilmore?? |
I didn't see it. I didn't find him funny on SNL so have avoided seeing most of his movies. Caught a couple on TV for free, but that only confirmed my first impression. (I can't say for sure, but I may have never seen a whole movie of his. I tend to fall asleep when I'm bored watching a movie.)
Does Sandler remind anyone else of Jerry Lewis...as in painfully unfunny? |
I'll bet you're a hoot. |

That was "Big Daddy." |

Probably one of the worst movies I have seen was him in his film debut. It's quite hard to find now but it was called "Going Overboard" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Going_Overboard.
It's quite fun to see him as a youngster but it's a painfully unfunny movie. I love him in Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, though. By far his most funny movies. I quite like Punch Drunk Love and Big Daddy too. Zohan was a piece of crap. |

Tropic Thunder is awesome, though largely due to actors other than Stiller.

I agree. There don't seem to be any comedians these days equal to the likes of John Candy, Steve Martin or Eddie Murphy during their heyday. |

| I like Adam Sandler about as much as Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Hey, can we remove then repost this thread with the option "He never was funny." |

And Sandler's acting was one of the worst things in it. He really showed up poorly working next to people who could act.

I agree about Owen Wilson. He's just totally boring. But Ben Stiller's brilliant: it's only because he keeps appearing in every other movie that comes out, that one gets a bit tired of him. |

I watched Click on cable TV recently and I thought that David Hasslehoff was the funniest thing about the movie.
When Knight Rider is getting more laughs than you, you know you're not funny. |

I couldn't stand Tropic Thunder. I would've walked out, but I'm just not that kind of person. I've never walked out of a movie...I kinda just expect it to get better.
As far as Sandler is concerned, his movies are hit and miss with me. Reign Over Me was his last good flick, IMO. The Waterboy and Happy Gilmore are classics. as well. But Zohan, Little Nicky, The Animal?...those just aren't my type. |
