Some of the heaviest drinkers I met in Korea have been Bangladeshi Muslims. They would also Bang the Pinoy juicy girls.

Although many of the people Jesus was preaching to were were perhaps precursors of ignorant "red necks", Jesus certainly was not - so it is highly unlikely that he made and distributed wine.

Here - from a Baptist website - a strong scriptural argument is made that the so-called wine was really just pure grape juice ...

(1) The blood of the grape is found in the vine, not in the vat. (2) This fresh "blood" of the grape is sometimes called "wine" though it is unfermented. Actually, the Hebrew word for "wine" here means only that it is "pressed out". It is a generic term for the extract of the grape, irregardless of its condition. (3) Since the "blood" of the grape is found in the vine, then the pure blood of the grape is the unfermented juice of the grape.

Interesting, but I'd have to say it's basically straw grasping by strict teetotalers. If you read the passage in it's entirety you'll notice the part where the guy is surprised that they saved the best wine for last. The usual way would be to let everyone get drunk on the good wine and then pull out the cheap stuff once they're too far gone to notice the difference. Hence, "good wine" = strong wine. No way he would have said that if it was grape juice.

I think if it was definately bad for us, there would be specific teaching in the bible.

so, slavery, slaughtering opposing tribes, and physically abusing your children are all OK since they're condoned in the bible?

Also, the Bible's very clear on where it stands regarding blood transfusions, human cloning, and stem cell research. Okay, it didn't exist back then, but an omniscient deity would've thought ahead, right?
