And don't get me started on breastsisis. All those stupid comments about how small, or non-existent my breasts are in that stupid snivelling way of theirs! Yes, they are small, but at least they're real!!! "Sorry" that I didn't go to the trouble of stuffing them with toilet paper, water balloons, chicken cutlets, or whatnot; didn't use padded bras; and didn't go to the extreme of having plastic surgery to inflate some idiotic sense of self worth like you Koreans! My goodness... staring at them breastisis of yours, I just can't imagine why I didn't go and do all that so I could have a lump the size of a quail egg put on my chest. Twisted Evil

Sharon - if it is justified - call them out on it - because they are Korean they still know their cowardly, infantile behaviour is wrong.

My VP and a fair number of his colleagues (all old enough to know better) have been calling me an arsewipe for the past 6 months using worldplay in reference to my surname. The other day I went effing mental on him
(I have never ever done that to a boss in the workplace) and the bastard more or less got down on his knees and begged forgiveness because he knew he was wrong. There is no cultural misunderstanding there - bad behaviour is bad behaviour - wherever in the world you are.

Don't take it off them - There are a lot of good people in this country but a lot of people who take part in waygook baiting are no more than cowards.

The people that I've been working with KNOW what they're doing is wrong. There is no doubt about that. The thing is they don't care. There was a previous verbal altercation between me and one of my co-teachers because of this type of stuff. Unfortunately she of course denied it! But continues to make comments, along with other teachers. I can be 2 feet away from them when they make the comment, but they'll still deny it! Saying I must of understood the Korean wrong, it's a misunderstanding, blah blah blah... There are certain things that you can't put off as a misunderstanding! Just because I didn't grow up speaking fluent Korean doesn't mean I'm an idiot. If anything, quite the opposite.

As a side: I know that there are decent people in this country. I've had my own share of positive experiences. This is my place to rant though. And I have held it in for quite a while... it's time to let it out!!!

I agree - I have posted a similar rant to this on the job discussion forum (comparing me to toilet paper) next time they do it. Just call them a coward and a gutless, infantile wonder and that they are only getting away with it because you are both in South Korea - back home my foot would be up your arse - be as direct as possible with them. Speak in English - don't converse with them in Korean - hold all the cards and deal them the low numbers. They won't want to tangle with you again in a hurry.

And before anyone starts giving it 'Oh - thats a good way to get isolated amongst your Korean work colleagues' If this kind of thing is happening - its more than likely you are isolated anyway - just let 'er go and let rip!

I'm glad to know that you got these people to bow down to you for once in this matter. Wish it would happen more, because I'm sure there've been many more such instances... as we've all seen even just on this forum alone.

I dont' think it's going to make a difference to me though. It's just more fuel for the fodder for them. Unless I have them say this stuff directly in front of the principal, it's just a game of he said/she said. They literally just deny that they ever said or did any of those things! Rolling Eyes

Nothing will have changed - they will still have their racism, their disrespect and their inferiority complexes which I (and you) are not responsible for.

The only thing that will have changed is that they won't insult me so blatantly to my face and I will take that - I can finish my remaining time on the contract without gripping them and go somewhere a bit less infantile.

I know not every PS is like this. My friends are having a decent time where they are working not too far away from where I am sat.
