It's day 2 for me after stopping it. I feel okay so far. I'm just scared of the horrible cramps and bad skin stories! I've been on the pill for a loooong time so I literally can't even remember what an anti-pill menstrual cycle is like.

I have gotten two pimples since going off of it. They aren't too bad. Probably would have gotten them anyway.

Still waiting on my period. Scared. Bad cramps are why I was on it in the first place.

Well, I had the Mirena coil (IUD) for about 4 years....just had it taken out 2 months ago cause I think it was the cause of my headaches, etc.
When I had it first put in, I though it would be awesome....low dosage of progesterone, 99.99999% protection, 5 years of use, free (in the UK), and maintenance free. Plus is was supposed to lessen my periods. Some people don't have them at all!

Anyway, darn thing made me gain around 10 kilos (the first year-got it off again), got headaches everyday, and would stab my husband. haha. Sad. Plus I had a 6 month long period right after I got it. Not fun. AND it made my annuals have abnormal results!

I finally got it taken out....2 months of bad 'magic time', this 3rd one has been quite tolerable and short. Maybe the hormones are out and I can be all normal. We're wondering what to take next...whether I should try a pill (they've always REALLY messed with my head/emotions), or something else.

Anyway, since I had that removed, I've lost a couple kilos, and my skin looks better. I feel better....and my last checkup was normal. So that damn thing was messing with stuff. Not good.

I was on the pill forever and went off of it a year and a half ago. My period never got regular again, it was always strange after all the years on the pill. I did get horrible cramps again. I also had a hard time getting pregnant as did my friend who was on the pill for the same amount of time as me. We both had to take drugs to get preggers.

It's been about 4 weeks since I went off of it, and my skin has been THE BEST it's been in years. Interestingly enough, I got my period about 23 days after my last one. I was surprised since I hear it can take a while to even get a period. I have been on the pill for many, many, many years and I was expecting to not get one for a few months, at least.

The first two weeks I had some serious tenderness and cramps.

My fiance says he can't believe my mood change; he says it's like I am a new person. I feel a lot happier and don't seem to get bothered by little things. Haven't lost any weight yet, but my fiance says I look thinner.
