Agreed
So Kimerley is offensive, but yellow fever is ok?
Thats [mod edit] up. |
yellow fever is a cultural term that has been used to describe a blinding and binding attraction to the Asian female... it doesn't necessarily have any negative connotations (though some people suggest one when saying it) but the KEY is that it has never been used as a "slur".
I'm a free speech guy so I hate censoring ANYTHING, but Kimberley would be vastly vastly vastly ahead of yellow fever on the "hit list"... in fact, yf wouldn't even be on such a list. |
Is calling an asian yellow ok? "The yellow man" is ok? I think not. How is yellow fever different? Maybe it's ok to use yellow fever because it talks about women. Was it the kyopo males who didn't like kimberley? Sounds about right.
Cultural term? hahahaha
So was the N word. |

dude.. you're seriously scaring me. It's like forbidding the use of the word "black", even when in context of something entirely different.
yellow fever was never used as a slur (UNLIKE the "n" word for e.g. - hence it's not a slur..(except in the case of Western expat women who can't seem to get Western partners when in Asia, so they use it in a slurlike/dismissive fashion to make themselves feel better when not nose up to their large cups of Haagen Daaz)
(this refers to expat/professional types, NOT teachers btw)
if the term bothers you, invent another one.. Asian fever.. Asian women fever... whatever.. but please keep your preposterous PC vocabulary to yourself. |

You do know the term "yellow fever" is racist? Probably not because most here are ignorant fools.
White trash teachers showing their cultural awarness yet again. |

Some people tend to look for anything to create a PC argument. "Yellow fever" has been used for so many years, and almost every time I've ever heard it was FROM an Asian woman, talking about someone's consuming desire for Asian women. It was used the last time I was in Korea, whenever women were talking about GIs that were so interested in Korean women that they had no desire for western women. Rarely did the westerners ever use the phrase.
Now, the term "Yellow" as in "man" or "woman" IS more insultive because there are currently acceptable terms for referring to an Asian man or woman. I'm sure if "Asian fever" was in usage, people would use that as well, but it's never really caught on, so people still refer to a type of behavior that has been around for longer than a lot of the people posting here have been alive. |

I dont know if its "racist" or not, why don't ask a Korean? I told my Korean roommate today the term and she just laughed. So I am not sure.. sometimes she even calls herself yellow when trying to describe her appearance. Well as a black person I can relate.. but I'm pretty sure it is nothing in comparison with the "N" word.. saying that could get you punched in the face..
As for only men getting "YF" ... that has to be wrong.. I kind of like how the guys here look, even if by western terms they are considered too feminine. I'm feeling it... any maybe Western women here can't get any of the guys because Korean guys tend to be very shy?? I don't know, I don't think every Western woman here is so bad that no one wants them. |

Two points.
1. I first learned "yellow fever" from an Asian guy, and have heard it used by Asian men more than by any other demographic.
2. Will you please calm the *beep* down and stop bitching about every little non-PC issue that you think you see? Jesus Christ. If you want to fix the world or right some of the wrongs, join the NAACP, who do great work, or the ACLU, who are a blessing to a modern democracy, or the ADL, or even frickin' PeTA. But whining on a forum about how we're all Hitler wanna-bes with peach fuzz mustaches isn't going to do anything but confirm your status as a Prime Grade USDA Certified ASSHAT. |

I've been told that Korean men are a lot worse in bed than white men by women basing this judgment on the average Korean dude and the average EFL teacher. I am not an expert on the topic, but I thought I'd throw that in there. |

there's nothing wrong with women getting yellow fever if that's what they want.. or if you have it.
(typically the issue arises among professional expats, ergo older and far more financially successful than the esl crowd - among them, the women for whatever reason prefer Western boyfriends, husbands, etc.. and of course the Western men want nothing to do with their Western female counterparts. Why? Answer is easy. Their $$$$ above all else, guarantees they get a local (read Asian) girl who's at least 10 yrs the Westerner's junior, 10x as attractive and weighs 1/2 of the other's weight. Talk to anyone in that expat community that they'll confirm my tale)
NOW.. getting back to the topic.
once again this is PC preposterousness at its utmost and I heartily stick my middle finger not only in your general direction but in your face. (not you Milk, but that crosby character)
(it's like the "Oriental" word - I don't think it's a slur but if an Asian asked me not to use it I'd happily comply - on the other hand, complaints from PC sensitive "whiteys" about that word would mean I would try to use it at every possible opportunity)
you're obviously not up on your slurs (because you're a little weenie PC type who stays away from slurs and slur throwing circles.
but if you had even a double digit IQ you'd ascertain that the slurs against Asians in the US have always consisted of references to slanted eyes... and shortening of their country's names (aka Chink, Jap, Flip, etc)
if yellow were ever used as a slur it'd probably only be used in conjunction with the main slur..that being slanty eyed.. (e.g. yellow slanty eyed bastard) - that sounds very "American"...
otherwise the word "yellow" in itself has almost NEVER referred to RACE - rather it has always been used to disparage a person's COURAGE - (or better said, lack of it) regardless of race.
have fun in your double digit IQ PC playhouse. |

I would bet money on this proposition as well.
but it's not because the K-dudes are "intrinsically" not as skilled... nor does it have anything to do with their supposed "lesser" endowment.
rather, it has more to do with their restricted Confucian culture, their lack of "educational" opportunities in the matter, and their role models, etc.
some of the "softer" porn developed in the US mostly by women producers/directors and ex porn actresses ....like Nina Hartley, etc..
this is the kinds of stuff desperately needed by young Korean males so they can learn how to properly satisfy a woman (this is also why the controversial 38 year old man is a better "sex partner" for a 20 year old girl who's interested in learning about sex)
where/how do Western males really learn about sex, apart from porn, etc? well - for one thing - a lot of twenty something guys have thirty something gf's and or sex partners... I had several in my twenties. those women should be enshrined - every orgasm I'm responsible for today can be traced back to those wonderful "teachers". I was a super nervous stumbling fool and they were gentle, patient and non judgmental.
K-dudes don't have these advantages..
instead their idea of sex is stumbling back ho\me wasted on soju and if they can get it up. quickly piling unto "princess" for the 3 strokes and done missionary "pump". I'd bet that's how most "transactions" go at anmas and room salons and such. Makes it almost tempting to work as a Korean hooker for the work to be done at those prices |

To bogey, I guess your point about the expats with money makes sense, no one has really explained it to me like that. I do agree that the chicks here are pretty hot, (i'm not gay). But it has to be a lot to keep up with appearance here ... most Western women are not going to cake on the make up and wear the shortest mini skirt they could find to work.. but I have seen expat couples here--different people are into different things. I have met some guys that say that trying to date a Korean woman is lame, and that they are childish so they rather find an expat..
To Michael, well I don't mind just looking at the guys here, I'm not trying to get in bed with any of them.. and I don't know how white men are in bed.. so I can't make any ratings..lol.. but I have heard size wise... Asian men got the short end of the stick.. |

I know the married (female) teachers in my school are sexually frustrated - you certainly can tell they each need a good seeing to! What you want to do is ask them about their husbands and you might be suprised about the frank replies you'll get! |
