Finish your contract.
And perhaps invest your bonus in travelling to interviews of future uni positions anywhere in the country, greatly increasing your chance of landing such a job in the future. |

I still think you're nuts if you pass this one up, Shawner. It's still a four day work week with 16 hours of class time and 6 weeks of vacation time. It sounds like it's definitely a step up from where you're at (even though it's a cushy job).
The only real downside seems to be housing, but if you're in a small town it probably wouldn't be all that expensive.
They may be a bit disorganized, but aren't you used to that by now? |

Can't be much of a university if they desperately want to employ you at the last minute, rush you and abuse you when you asked for another day's grace. The fact that a host of other candidates didn't want the job, and that she's trying to force you to sign your life away today are not good signs. go with your gut, and leave it.
Stay with your good contract now, and get your bonus.
The uni contract sounds like a lot of headaches to me.
If you're keen on a Uni contract, take your time to find one, getting the lowdown on each place first. Don't be pushed into anything you're not happy with. Thats what these sharks rely on. You need a whole lot more information, before committing.
Just cos its a "Uni" doesn't mean its great...many hagwons have better conditions , in reality. |

| Thanks for all the advice everyone. I turned down the job. It just didn't feel right. Well, some other candidate maybe will feel lucky. |
