I have to say that the trend for tight jeans is very convenient. As I get older and fatter, my jeans get tighter. Now I can just say that I'm simply following fashion.

They think baggy jeans are strange, we think skinny jeans are strange.. who cares.. some Korean men look good in the skinny jeans.. some don't.. most American men look good in loose jeans.. some don't look good in anything.. its all perspective.. I'm used to dating guys in baggy jeans, hip hop style.. but I really don't care about skinny jeans, esp if they look good..
Its the same with women I think.. how many women back home can wear the things Korean women wear and get away with it??? (or rather look attractive in it) ..

Panda,

My Chinese g/f bought me what she termed European-style jeans. They were way too tight. I think you've enlightened me as to why she bought them.

I like to wear form-fitting jeans, but not tight jeans necessarily. Super tight jeans are too uncomfortable. My guys need breathing room! And the jeans that are tight all the way down to the ankles look weird if you ask me. That seems to be the style around these parts.

Forgiving me for being a little bit unreasonably selfish.
I can foresee a time when male wearing something uncomfortable to please female is coming soon.......the birthplace would be nowhere but Korea.

As a guy who has worn tight jeans in the past (mostly to please women), I can tell you first-hand that "uncomfortable" doesn't always adequately describe it. There is a definite physiological difference between many asian men and at least some western men.

Milkchocolate, you are right, but I have seen quite a few westerners who look damn good in tight jeans, most of us think tight jeans are for skinny guys, that is so wrong and explains why you think some Koreans are revolting (they are too skinny).

In my opinion, guys with nice tight bum and strong legs should always give tight jeans a try.

Kuros, always have faith in your Chinese g/f. Wink

Khenan, there are significant psychological differences between the east and the west on many aspects, I remembered when I first saw people who wore underwears outside (superman) or short sleeved over long sleeved, I thought they were stupid........... But I now think it a good way to make you look different with only a few clothes.

Wait, wait! Who wears underwear outside their other clothing? Is this another bizarre Canadian thing? Shocked

I have seen some White guys look pretty good in skinny jeans before.. although I find it weird to see a black man in them.. I automatically think.. GAY..

Korean men, though I don't mind, some are too skinny.. however I am a guy butt watcher so all of these skinny jeans here are eye candy for me... add the extreme hair ego of Korean men and I like even more.. lol.. strangely attractive

I usually wear tight jeans since the ladies like it, but they're actually the most comfortable as long as it's not a pair of Motel 6 (no ballroom).

Not giving up the baggies. Say what you will, but there is something heavily comfortable about baggy pants. Besides, given a choice would you rather look like a 16 year old emo or a adult?

Baggy jeans don't make you look like an adult.

The best I saw was a HS student wearing the funniest pair of jeans... It was like a mix of baggy and tight. Very thin/tight at the legs, baggyish at the butt. It just looked awful. And funny. I wish I had my camera. The two styles do not mix. A coworker who was walking with me at the time called them diaper pants.

How about a few photo links? I am having a hard time 'visualising' what it is that you are describing text-ually. I have "seen" what jeans do for attractive women, but as a man it is harder to "see" what it is that women consider attractive regarding male posteriors in jeans.

Skinny jeans isn't a Korean/Asian thing; dudes I know back in the States wore skinny and girl jeans all the time.

I used to wear baggy jeans, but since coming here and also reading up on men's style beforehand, I've tried to make a conscious effort to buy better fitting clothes in general. I think Korean people do this well, and it just so happens that they're really skinny.
