Madmen is a boring over-rated tv series that takes itself WAY TO SERIOUSLY.

Great contribution to the thread. You seem to suffer some of the same handicaps as the program.

Ho ho....you sure got me there dad.

Anyways...

The RIAA wishlist is here. An interesting read if you like legal jargon. It essentially spells out a tightly controlled Internet.

A fairly comprehensive piece here from TorrentFreak; the expected slant there as well.

Something worthwhile to click:

Sign up folks...it's your voice.

After entering the info, it says some crap about recording your vote....just click the first option...nothing happens besides registering your vote.

Slightly related.

My internet connection is acting weird this weekend, cutting off and then back on, especially when downloading... Sometimes I have to restart the modem, sometimes not, to re-establish the bit-flow.

I'm often d.l.ing or uploading something, so it's probably a coincidence. But my paranoid mind is beginning to suspect SKTelecom is taking steps to discourage d.l.ing.

Or, maybe my modem is starting to fail...

Anyone else having trouble with their connection?

Guess what I saw today. You know those new green street stall things run by the local govt. and rented/leased to stall holders? One was open today selling pirated dvds. Nothing else, just stacks of copied dvd movies with all the latest titles.

I know this happens all over Seoul in and around subway stns. But this was in an offical street stall.

At least the local govt is getting their cut.

Who says I am wrong? He stopped posting on that thread. The same arguement that he gave can be given for the opposing side.

And for the record please don't derail the thread, you seem to have problems following the rules Cool

Tomas Norstrm, the judge who sentenced the Pirate Bay Four, was recently outed as a member of two copyright advocacy organizations, prompting rumblings about a mistrial.

to hard to regulate! boarder line impossible..

but what they might start doing to curb the numbers in downloads is to start limiting broadband like Australia does or something.. but I doubt this..

what ever the government comes up with a hacker will find a way to crack it.

also I don't see what all the fuss is about it..
since when is hollywood the center of the world!!!

the music industry and software companies.. WHAT EVER!!

the world needs to fight other crimes which are far more important than piracy! PIRACY will be here until the end of the world!
