English teachers will not be a point of consideration for trade policy. Unless you band together and finance a multimillion dollar lobbying effort.

The FTA benefits Korea quite a bit, but that's hardly an argument against it from the American perspective.

I disagree with Mises completely. KORUS is about opening Japan. Japan was getting ready for FTA talks when two of its three greatest trading partners were beginning to get a lot more cozy. Opening up Japan means a better shot at a positive trade balance.

Divide et impera. Ally with the lesser against the stronger. These Roman and Machiavellian principles should guide us.
