Here's a bit of info on bike sizing from the best in the business.

And here's the dimensions on a 2009 Giant XTC2 (closest I could see.)

For a road bike you want a gap of about 1 inch between the toptube and the dangling bits. For a MTB you want 2-3 inches.
Again just go there and take it for a spin and see if you like it. Seat height isn't the important thing, you can adjust that. The reach to the handlebars is more important, but even that can be tweaked a little. |
