That would be the French way I guess which is pretty useless to the rest of us, back in UK we pronounce it Carry-four. It seems to be hangulized as Kkarre-poor.

Every kind of cereal you can imagine!
Hair dye, toiletries such as anti-perspirant, even Trojans!
All kinds of over the counter medicine and vitamins.

Campbells soup - Costco or Carrefore only 1000 per tin
Salsa - Costco or Carrefore
Salad dressing - costco
Velveeta cheese - costco

I've been to Costco and Wal-mart regularly. I have found Campbells's soups at Wal-mart but not TOMATO! My favorite!
I know you can get salsa and salad dressing almost anywhere, but I just thought I'd include it in the list anyway. And there was a lot more variety. I've never seen Peppercorn Ranch or Catalina in Korea.
And I said Velveeta SHELLS and cheese, not cheese. I've never seen any macaroni and cheese in Korea, including Kraft Dinner which is also available at the black market store.
The prices of everything were about triple the normal price! But once in a while a box of KD is totally worth 2700won to me!

There is one in Daejon. I am not sure whether that is any use to you or not. Maybe you were asking about Seoul.

The Carrefour (at Ori station at least) is the best store for groceries I've ever seen in my approx. 5 years in Korea. That said, it ain't so great Confused ... but for korea it's pretty good. I still haven't figured out why Korea baically sucks when it comes to food.

What's the vitamin selection like at the blackmarket supermarket? Do they have stuff like alpha lipioc acid, co-enzyme Q10, etc? Or is it just the same stuff as in the overpriced pharmacies here?

Also, do they have soy protein bars (like Balance, Genisoy, Zone Perfect, etc)? I LOVE those.

How much was it? I'm sorta ashamed I didn't buy any last July 1st to help commemorate Canada Day.

But I'm not paying like 4000 or 5000 Kim-clams for it. Man.
