Anyone who's ever read Why I'm not a Muslim by Ibn Warraq may recall its excellent (though absolutely horrifying) discussion on Pakistan.
At the time of writing (1994), "Pakistan is only one of four countries in the world where female life expectancy (51) is lower than the male; the average life expectancy for all poor countries is 61"
The details as to why this is so are too horrifying to explore here. Well, the basic reason is that women are simply murdered incessantly, but there's more to it, obviously, and all of which done directly in the name of the God of Islam (and not for the faint of heart) |
