Much of what the writer says is a vain attempt at using British educated language to spin her own yarn tp express the chip on her shoulder. Her comparisons are weak. She neglects to mention the hundreds of thousands of Nigerians who are running all kinds or risks and scams to get into their ex-masters bed (ie Britain) But I'll leave that one there or you'll all be calling me names.

As to Obama, well America was so ready for anyone that wasn't a Bushite that an alien would've been good enough, but I do believe the huge fuss surrounding Obama was indeed about the colour of his skin, and the monumentous statement that makes, rather than the substance of the man himself.

All I can say to the American people is to look to Britain to see what disguised socialism can do to a country. Britain is broken and on it's knees due to a decade of inept socialist power. And Obama has become mightily friendly with our flop Brown.

This should surprise no one who knows anythng about the Democratic Party. Democrats are by nature anti-democracy. Bigger government, more government regulations, more intrusive goverment. More government control = less freedom.

Nothing about bigger government, government regulation, or even government intrusion is un-democratic, so long as those policies are enacted by the people's chosen representatives.

Like many Conservatives, you seem to confuse "democracy" with "doing whatever the Hell I want."

No, liberal. Democracy is not having the government intruding in our lives. Since when in the hell does Obama have the right to tell me what type light bulb I can use or the type of car I drive?

You have no problems with the government telling you whether or not you can get an abortion, what substances you're allowed to ingest and who's allowed to get married or not. Why not cars and light bulbs too?

No, that's not what Democracy is. Democracy is voting as a means of decision making. Like most Conservatives, you're trying to redefine popular terms to make your inherently uncompelling case seem compelling. It's the only way most Conservatives can win elections.

I just point out that, traditionally, the Democratic Party has been opposed to Democracy (not that the US is a Democracy).

The Democratic Party's record is quite clear. More regulation. More control. More intrusion.

And this differs from Republicans exactly how?
