Some of the less than admirable hakwons have a steady 6 or 7 month revolving door. Doesn't matter what your contract/visa states, because there is little intention to renew contracts at suspect locations. Replacements are recruited long before a contract is honored in some cases, regardless of the visa duration. |
Ok, then why is it happening to teachers, then?
The teachers in question all taught/teach at Hagwons, not University level.
Personally, I think immigrations may or may not do whatever the school requests. My impression of Korean Immigrations is that it's "frontier law". They aren't a very respectable institution, nor do they seem to follow their own rules when it suits them. |
