Just thought I'd apologise to Idontlikeyou for wasting his time. It's a nice little bike, very clean and surprisingly peppy for a 125cc.
I ran it over with the wife and she will never let me ride a bike as long as we live in Korea. Perhaps it's my agressive driving in my car!
Sorry man. Good luck with the bike it should sell pretty quickly. |

I called the Seoul Global Center and they were quite hlepful...
WHat was your experience, idontlikeyou?
The GlobalCcenter tells me I must o bring my Korean DL (Which I already have) to the nearest motor-vehicle-licensing office, along wtih my ARC, set up an "inside motorcycle driving test" appointment. Then go back later, on that appointment date, bring my passport, ARC, 3 passport-sized photos, my Korean DL and 12,000 won.
I have to take NO written test, they say... Only a driving test.
Do I have to drive a motorcycle OVER there to take the test? Or is the bike provided?
What was your experience?
I already have a home-country Motorcycle endorsement on my license. |

You don't need to take the driving test for a 125cc bike, which is what's being sold. You just take a bunk written test and you're fine.
For the driving test though, they do provide their own motorcycles. |

that's right... to drive this bike legally, you just need to trade your license from home for a korean license. 125cc and below only require a regular car license. you can return the korean license when you leave the country and get your old one back. it costs next to nothing... (like 6000-12000won)
if you don't have a regular license from home, you just need to do a simple written test to get a license for ONLY a 125cc and below motorcycle.
if you want OVER 125cc, you need to do the driving test. obstacle course....it should be easy, but they make sure its not. many people take well over 10 attempts to pass it.
this is why a 125cc bike is a great bet here... and why you see so many small bikes.
i have my new bike!!! i feel bad parking it next to my "old" one. i'm also not affluent enough to have 2 bikes. buy it quickly. |

odometer is sitting at 3999km, so the next person who test drives had better buy it or my thread title will make me a liar.
i'll try to de-register the bike friday when i register my new one. i'll get all the relevant papers to make sure everything goes smoothly for whoever buys.
you'll just need to take it to your gu office and they will sort you out. |
