I don't want to do that, it's not my style. If they have an issue with me, I expect them to step up and speak. I just don't want to play bullshit mindgames with my co-workers. I respect all of them and would like to keep it that way. |
Sorry to burst your bubble but that is quite the opposite of how Koreans behave. They cow tow to the headgames because it saves them face
What pkang suggested could help you save your own face

On a side note - Whem I was a youngin Migook, we would fight after school, away from school. We knew scrapping in school would lead to bigger problems and more people involved. |
Most Koreans don't plan, only act on impulse (not trying to get attention from Mods, its just been a personal experience) |

They broke the kids jaw. I didn't think any of these kids had that in them!! |
Back in 2005, one middle school student killed another student at his school in Busan in a fight at school. |
That incident was a result of the film "Chingu". A guy got stabbed with a long knife about twenty times in the movie, and it was choreographed with beautiful music in the background.
Some Korean student flipped out and did the same thing to a fellow student as he stood in the front of the class. |

I understand this, but I am not Korean, I do not play by their rules. I actually "call out" the Koreans I am close with when they hand me a saving face lie. Eventually, they realise I am on to the BS and they no longer try to save their faces.
I am guessing that Pkang is Korean in some fashion. I appreciate his input, but again, I don't have to play by their rules and I actually love that. It's the one thing that gives us waygoogin a freedom in this country that most Koreans could only dream of. If they could only start thinking as individuals and not the "borg collective" (disclaimer: "borg collective" was coined by another poster and is quite beautiful and damn accurate).
I thought this thread died 3 day ago. I'm happy to see it's ressurection, mummified or not!! |

I think the OP is just over reacting
I wouldn't even deal with it. Let the koreans deal with it instead. Don't talk about it, don't get involved with the drama just go on.
In my first job (non teaching position) I was given this advice that you shouldn't try to get involved with stuff like this. Just don't let it concern you. move on |

That exists within every school where there are boys on the planet. Except Switzerland maybe. |

| I'm sure the swiss can fight. They got guns. It's not like boys fighting kill that many people. |

This quote is rather "borg collective" type thinking in itself. |
