I've heard great things about Rosetta Stone but it's very expensive-- $500 is retail price I believe.

If you don't like virii then get a MAC!

Jeez. I give up.

Guys! It's downloadable as a torrent! You won't get a virus!! I've downloaded it. The version I got was all good.

You don't need a Mac!!

The only time you get a virus when you download is if the uploader put a virus in the file. But your anti-virus will catch that. Anyway, why do you think the uploader of the Rosetta Stone Korean would put a virus in there?

I understand what you're saying about the anti-virus programs, but how can you fault someone for having scruples about downloading something without paying for it, even if "everybody" does it?(including myself occasionally)

Lighten up it's Korea. As long as its not something they made they don't give a crap.

Right, but I was not knocking people who download without paying, I was just saying don't knock people who feel funny about doing it.

I truly am in the dark ages with this. The last time I used anything like this, it was Napster, you know, before they sued them. I don't even know what a torrent is.

My friend, since I am skilled in the occult, I will share with you how to summon the mystical torrent.

What you will need:

1.) The hair of a leprechaun's beard (If you run into a beardless leprechaun, you're doing it wrong)

2.) Unicorn horn dust

3.) The blood of three (THREE) carebears. Approx. 5 mL.

4.) Dumbo's feather.

and, finally

5.) The tears from that "Leave Britney Alone" youtuber.

Once you have acquired these ingredients, simply mix into a pot (MUST BE BLACK), bring to a slow boil while stirring constantly; after the mixture obtains the thickness of Nickelodeon GAK (tm), pour it over your head, and the elusive and mystical torrent will appear and grant your every desire.

Glad I could be of service

You have to download it first, and then you have to install some program that allows you to run it without having the actual disc. I can't remember exactly how I got the ones that I have, but there was a detailed online tutorial that explained every step to take.

I actually bought Rosetta Stone - Korean. Don't waste your time. Good for vocabulary, but otherwise it won't help you have a conversation. All the verbs are with high-honorific, which won't help if you're talking to someone younger or if someone
older is talking to you.

Just go hang out in a Korean bar and find someone willing to teach you Korean.

I had a completely different experience. I actually became functionally fluent within a very short period of time with the Rosetta Stone software. Believe me I tried for years learning from koreans at some bar. It didn't work. Of course no software is complete and it alone will not help you become fluent but thats where your imagination comes in and the willigness to step into new things.

Actually, I was talking to Triban, but it was an unkind comment and I take it back and apologize.

I think I'll just buy the rosetta stone 1,2,3, and what ever the other thing is,from g-market along with a labtop to download it on to. I don't think the illegal downloads will download to my computer. I 've already gone through the Pimsleur conversational korean 1 and 2. and i'll add rosetta stone korean also.

Thank you for taking it back; however, he was talking to you when he said that he thought I was talking to him.

Furthermore, how can a person be boring if they have an extensive knowledge of unicorns, leprechaun's care bears, and Nickelodeon (I do not have knowledge of that Chris Crocker guy)?
