Dekalog by Kieslowski has gotta be my all time fav show, if you can call it a show that is.
Also I've been watching one or two episodes of the original Twilight Zone a day and I must say this series is pure gold. It's a damn shame nobody in the show business nowadays seems to appreciate what Rod Serling had achieved 50 years ago, except Vincent Gallo. |

John Cleese's 'Fawlty Towers'...12 episodes of pure comedy gold.
'Blackadder' with Rowan Atkinson. Genius.
I have complete box sets of both series', and I never tire of watching them.
I agree that Frasier is also brilliant, but I wouldn't call it old.
As for old kids stuff, these shows were all fabulous:
The Muppet Show
Fraggle Rock
The Raccoons
The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin |

Little house on the prairie, I could watch that continuously.
The wonder years & Three's company.
Red Dwarf is brilliant too. I love Craig Charles.
Lastly we can't forget Forty coats and the Gummi bears. |

Amo's 'n Andy. I saw some of those episodes a while back and loved it.
The shows over 50 years old, but remains funny.
As good as Kingfish was, I actually like Calhoun best. |

I second Married with Children, Black Adder
Duckman was a great adult comedy.
MST 3K had its fine moments in the sun as well.
Sanford & Son, the Cosby Show, Seinfeld, true comedic Genius
The A-TEAM!! I love it when a plan comes together

I'm surprised no one mentioned Gilligan's island.
That show is great. |

Only Fools and Horses. Even though I have seen every episode about 5 million times already growing up, it is still quality television.
Also, Freaks and Geeks. |

I've been watching the White Shadow on Hulu. A basketball show about a high school team.
Surprisingly watchable and fun but with some serious aspects. Totally missed it along the way. Kind of like Welcome Back Kotter but without all the stupidity.

How do you watch Hulu in Korea? |
Google "Hotspot Shield" and install this. When you want to watch Hulu or something else specific to the United States of protectionism (but we profess all men are created equal....) Click it on. Get Keylite from AverMedia - it will hook your computer to your HD TV (or TV). It is the only one that really truly works everywhere - about 35,000 won.
I'm a junkie for international "obscure" sports. Marathons, rowing, cycling. So I need to get Universal Sports and Hotspot is the only alternative. I watch Hulu selectively.
Enjoy, I know it helps teachers immensely to be able to watch / get media from home. When I was first overseas in 92 - had nothing, no net, no books, just one newspaper came to my town on Sundays. If I missed it - I was shyte out of luck!
Cheers,
DD

Rowan Atkinson may be the funniest man in the world. He really ought to do something special again. Mr Bean is not even close to representative of his talent, but it sure made him rich and famous. The cleverness was the lack of language, so anyone can enjoy it without really needing subtitles, but it's not his best work by a long shot. In standup he is pure gold. There was a concert of his on google video before. Man, that's some good stuff. Can watch segments of it on youtube I'm sure.
Check out "Invisible Drum Kit" if you can. Simply incredible.
Rowan Atkinson and Larry David get my vote as funniest people alive. |
