So he shouldn't be allowed to be naked in his own home if children regularly trespass on his property?

Then those parents should not be allowing their children to trespass on private property, and certainly shouldn't be escorting them while trespassing. |

That's correct. Nobody should be charged with anything in this case. But if anybody should be charged with anything, it's the lady for trespassing and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. |

Things are ridiculous here in Korea, too.
The school board had to find a new apartment for me because of this sort of foolishness.
The landlord kicked me out because I went outside with no shirt on and frightened all the ladies.
Yet they let daddies bring in their 3-year-old daughters into the 목욕탕's!
One time, there was a 3-year-old girl who was afraid of me because I was a foreigner and because I had a beard.
She didn't even notice my "bleep." |

That's funny. As many times as I've walked around in Korea with the top two or three buttons undone like some 70s retro disco reject, the whole neighborhood must've been freaked out on a regular basis. A former co-worker once said a neighborhood cashier said I wasn't allowed to shop there because I'm a womanizer, but based on what you said above and looking back on it, maybe the way I like to wear shirts was a contributing factor. Luckily, it's always really cold when I just stay for a week or two, so they're spared.
I read a thread a year or two ago where a guy was jogging without a shirt on and people were pretty upset and animated. |

His defense lawyer needs to show the jury this video http://www.wtkr.com/news/wtkr-naked-kitchen,0,7977988.story
If he "wanted to be seen" he would've had the hedges outside the window trimmed down where they wouldn't obstruct the view of his alleged wienershow.
I think it's funny how the advertisement before the vid is for Sea Thru Windows. How appropriate. |

One irony is that it happened in the Washington, DC beltway area, not far from the NSA.
What's the point of closing our windows anymore since the government listens to us having phone sex with our lovers?
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?...&page=1&page=1
We have no privacy. There are people who work not far from that man's house who sit around at the NSA building all day and listen to our soldiers and ordinary Americans masturbating on the phone and that's a fact. Somebody seeing our buttcheeks when we're pouring coffee seems really mild in comparison. |

Only the woman claims that she wasn't trespassing but on the path where children regularly go to school. |

I find it somewhat questionable that this "path between houses" exists. Honestly, I wouldn't believe such a thing without actual evidence. Given what I know about the situation right now, I think his story that she was cutting through his yard is far more plausible.

| Well if its a popular path the children take, they sure as hell probably are tresspassing. F-ck, when I was that age I never walked to school unless it was across someone's yard. If the dude wants to make coffee naked in his own home he should have every right to do so regardless, hell I'd be pissed if I was told I had to wear clothing in my apt. just because I lived across from the Homeplus. |

| If it's a popular path to school and children have been using it long enough without objection from the homeowner, it's possibly not trespassing to use the path because an easement can be established. |

Are you serious? If you heard about a woman walking her child to school being charged with trespassing because she cut across one of your neighbor's yard, and no other details of the story were given, you'd think your neighbor was a nut. |

No, I'd think my neighbor didn't want people trespassing on his yard and had zero tolerance for it. I've seen what happens to the yards of people who allow that sort of trespassing regularly. It's not pretty, and I don't condemn anyone for wanting to disallow it.
Most people are fairly tolerant of trespassing, but that doesn't mean those that aren't tolerant of it are nuts. |

This is true. However, those who cross his property should recognize that a person should have the right to what they want on thier own property. As was stated before, "a man's home is a man's castle." People should understand that they are free to walk across this man's property with the risk of possibly seeing him naked at 5:30 in the morning. No reason for charges to be filed. |

This is exactly why everyone was skeptical initially over whether Roman Polanksi had literally raped anyone when his case got in the news again after he was caught at that film festival. The "sex offender" label has been so thoroughly abused for everything from urinating in public to having a consensual relationship with someone months younger than you that no one can tell anymore whether it's being used for full on rape/child molestation. I doubt this problem will change anytime soon either since any legislator who does anything about it will be smeared as soft on sex crimes.
EDIT PS: Nudity should never be a crime, let alone when you're in your own house. I think it's pretty disturbing we still find the need to hide our genitals for reasons aside from weather/environment. If I had to pick the one thing I hate most about humanity, it'd probably be our profound capacity for denial. |
