Thanks for your comment,Peppermint. But I fail to understand how your
income tax deduction was affected by your pay schedule. My first job in
Yosu paid bi-monthly with a tax deduction of 5% of 600,000 won. If I had
been paid 1.2 mil. per month at the same rate of 5%, I'd have paid the
same amount in taxes. Being paid every two weeks instead of once a
month makes no difference in tax deductions. Perhaps, your employer had
pocketed some of your hard-earned money. Cool

p.s. 1.2 mil. was the average starting salary in 1994
