| I went through Gumi, on the way to Gimcheon, to see Jikjisa Temple. Well worth seeing. Local bus #11 or #111. The long distance bus station in Gimcheon in on the right hand side of the railway track. All the motels & the #11 busses are on the left hand side, so get a taxi, to a motel (plenty of them all in the same area), or walk through the Gimcheon train station to the other main road through town, & head east until you hit the motels. Maybe 500 metres. |
^ What I said. Nowhere in there did I say the #11 or #111 bus leaves from Gumi. I said that I went THROUGH Gumi (I overnighted in Gimcheon). Which means I didn't stop in Gumi. The rest of the paragraph is describing Gimcheon. Or is this above your comprehension level, chilgokblackhole? |

I'm not from Gumi, but I lived there a while ago.
2 main spots. Early night head to Waegook cook. It's in Hyeong gok Dong. Actually it's just at the start when you're heading there from downtown.
@nd spot is a place called Psycho's. It used to be the main one, but more people hang at the Cook.
Gumi is a rich city (so many factories...lots of executives) it's easy to make good money. Private are illegal though. I made more money in Gumi 10 years ago than I do today.
There are loads of foreigners (teachers and engineers) and it's great to head to Daegu and Pusan in the summers.
If yo have more questions send me a PM |

Great, thanks for the responses! I'll be sure to check those places out as soon as I get the rest of my currency exchanged!
Goon-Yang, I'm working at the Talking Club in the Sangmo Center, and living just one street away. I'm about a 10 minute taxi ride away from Waygook Cook, I think. |
Hi - I can't pm yet. I was just offered a position at the Talking Club in Gumi (elementary). How did/do you like it there?? |

| Hey, I accepted a job for a school in Gumi called ChildU English Academy; it's in Doryang-dong. Anyone know of this school? Anyone have an idea of what the expat community might be like in Gumi now? |
