Forgot bout the power supply! So now I have to go back to Yongsan and pick up an adapter from the 4-pin to the 6-pin for video cards.
D'oh!

I did the same thing with my first serious graphics card a few years ago!

Didn't you get a 6 pin adapter in the box with the graphics card? They usually stick one in there.

I went to Icoda yesterday and was very happy with them. They were very helpful and spoke english, so that was nice. I had an idea of all the parts that I wanted, but the guy went step by step through everything that I would need. At one point I let him pick some of the parts to see if he would try and sell me something that I did not need, but he selected the same parts that I had already decided I needed. All around good experience. It was a little more expensive than other places, but I got the feeling that they actually try and do what is best for the consumer, which is not a feeling I got from some of the other places that I went when comparing prices.

So the service was great, they were very helpful, and seemed trustworthy, but in exchange were a little more expensive.

Yeh, it's be good if you could post the full spec and price, I'm thinking of using them too. Might just do a self-build using danawa though.

Sorry, I've been a little slow the last couple of days. I went with what is essentially their middle I5 model, with upgraded RAM and video card. After researching it online, talking to some people back home, and with the guy at the store, I decided that I needed something around this machine because of the video processing and streaming I do back home (and to smoothly run the 26'' HD monitor I have.

I went there later than I was planning on Monday, so they said that it I order it that day it would not be done that day, so I would have to pick it up the next day. I took this opportunity to price shop the system around, and while I found some people that said they could beat it, I got the vibe that they were using inferior parts, and none of them were real confident of their work. I am going back this weekend to pick up my computer. As for the specs, it is basically this computer with an upgraded video card.

I added this card which is a little more than I need, but I wanted to pay the extra couple of dollars to make sure it not a little less than I need to do everything I end up doing at the same time.

http://www.icoda.co.kr/i_product/pro_view.html?it_num=123284

The total cost was a couple of thousand won over 900,000 (I don't remember the exact total and I don't have my receipt at work). The best price I found that anyone would quote me was only 50,000 less, so for me feeling good about those who build it for me was worth the extra money.

The one thing you will find is that Icoda is not really a shop for browsing, it is much more just a storefront where they put everything into their system, and then go find the parts other places. They will do some small discounts, but what they have on their website is pretty much what you are going to get when you go.

I will report bak after I pick up the machine.[/url]

Looks good.

I would love to hear what you think of the noise/lack of noise on the video card AND the CPU fan. I went with a fanless (albeit far less powerful) Gigabyte 4550 GPU, merely because I wanted to keep the system quiet (I don't play games). I also went with an aftermarket fan for the CPU, but now I kind of wish I hadn't.

What did you do for an OS? Did they install one for you?
