You think I'm ignorant for pointing out Dobbs' xenophobia and, yes, racism.

I don't "think" you're ignorant. You are. You clearly thought Mexicans a race. That's ignorant. You should not discuss topics you are ignorant about. Clearly, the BBC hasn't properly informed you about Mexico.

Quote:
He's not referring to white Mexicans or Indian Mexicans... he is quite patently referring to Mexican looking Mexicans.

What is a Mexican looking Mexican. What is a Canadian looking Canadian? Further, provide evidence he is making reference to a certain race of Mexican. Evidence. Evidence.

Quote:
He isn't interested in protecting American trade - he's interested in keeping out Mexican drivers because of 'safety issues'...

First, LD is against free trade. He opposed NAFTA. He's been consistent. Do not discuss things you don't know anything about rufus.

You think that being concerned that the trucks from a Mexico might not be up to American safety standards is "racism"? Good god damn. Is "truck discrimination" racism now? I have a white car which I just acquired from trading in my black car. I clearly discriminated against my black car. Racist!!

Quote:
they may be driving a bomb into the middle of the country!

Can't you read the subtext? When was the last Mexican terrorist attack?

The subtext? Who taught you that word?

Rufus, just quit. You're embarrassing yourself.

The first interview he featured highlighted the 'safety issues' of letting Mexican drivers into the country. Can you not see the subtext? (Mexican drivers are likely to be doing something illegal). Do you think Britain demands Britsh drivers anywhere over 20 miles from its border? The real issue is Dobbs presupposing Mexicans are threats and shouldn't be trusted within America's borders.

This is a single example btw.

Aw dude. This is so stupid. Look, stick to arguing about "football" and puking in the streets of Leeds. You do not understand the issues and aren't informed about the United States and/or Mexico and the debates therein.

Enough for me.

Okay I retract Mexican being a race (on a technicality), latino is maybe closer to the mark. This doesn't detract from the reality that Dobbs was not a fan of 'foreign' truck drivers entering the U.S. from Mexico because there were safety issues (subtext: they're bring illegal immigrants/bombs/something to hurt Dobbs)

Good point Mises.... I see what you're saying... it's very well informed and backed by evidence... you win.

I've quoted this so you can't change it.

Read it again. Read it closely.

rufus thinks:
Quote:
the genetic makeup of one race within a multi-racial society makes the whole of the multi-racial society one race.

This is your argument.

He's right, you don't know shit about the US. You're the same guy who once arrogantly asserted to an American poster on here that "the Fed" was the FBI, and "the Feds" the federal government. And you keep coming back for more. Just give it up already.

The FBI is referred to as the 'Feds' in many dramas.

Where is this quote from?

Regardless, you're intentionally conflating my argument.

Why the quotes. Mexico is not the US. Mexican trucks are foreign.

Quote:
truck drivers entering the U.S. from Mexico because there were safety issues

Yes.

Quote:
(subtext: they're bring illegal immigrants

He has never hid is opposition to illegal or legal migration. He doesn't code his language.

Quote:
/bombs

I don't speak code so didn't see this.

Quote:
/something to hurt Dobbs)

Or. He is worried that Mexican rigs are big hunks of crap compared to similar trucks in Texas, NM, AZ and Cali. And as such, are less safe than similar American alternatives.

But you live in Korea and are from the UK so you don't have to worry about unsafe trucks on the roads of Dallas and as such it becomes an moral iron pipe with which to hit on Americans and their desire to tightly regulate the gigantic trucks on their roads for racism.

In addition to the fact that you seem to have once again used the wrong word somewhere in this sentence, it seems that you may have overlooked the fact that not many vehicles actually drive directly to or from Britain.

Do you intend to compete with Sarah Palin as some form of parody?

Mises, you're an apologist. Dobbs got pushed off his program because of his thinly veiled attacks on immigrants/Mexicans/Latinos/those of a different colour. I'm sorry, but that's what actually happened. He didn't get ratings because the ignorant minority were busy tuning into Beck.

He did code his language and he presented ridiculous assetions as real problems - i.e. that video you brought up - Mexican truck drivers being 'dangerous'. He didn't field an interview about truck regulations did he?

Reminder: he failed to report the news about Obama birth certificate.
