For regular fillings a lot of Korean dentists don't use the pain numbing injection. Man they once had to hold me down in the chair saying "it's no problem, it's no problem" while they ground away. Poor koreans have to grin and stoically bear it. |

There is a dentist behind the check in at the COEX Air Terminal. Ground level - kind of in the square behind the terminal.
Had a gold cap put in recently, cost about 350,000. He said I could have a white cap - 400,000, but wouldn't last as long, or a more silver colour cap - 300,000. He recommended the 350,000.
White teeth, or porcelain, he reckons, are really only good for the visible teeth that you need to get fixed as their durability isn't all that when it comes to grinding at the back.
He was a good man and spoke pretty good english - albeit with a strong accent. He goes abroad, every year i think, to study new techniques and he was certainly user friendly.
I turned up without an appointment and he saw me straight away. It was first thing though. I think he starts at about 9.30 in the morning or thereabouts. |
