4 teams? one wasn't enough in 06.
I don't follow ROK much anymore but at least they are still energetic and fun to watch. They have a relatively weak "partner" group so it's not unthinkable they could reach the last 8. |

south korea are screwed! come lets be realistic! the 2002 dream was just that! a dream... 2006 knocked out.. and all the previous games knocked out before 2nd round...
not to mention,, nigeria are a strong team.. and greece also good...
still its a game anything can happen...
I think England could win it this year... they have the talent... they have the passion.. they just need to work better as a team and not as individuals! |

the 2002 team was more than a dream, they were a reality, lucky to get as far as they did but clearly deserving of making it to the second round and a deserving longshot to make it to the third round (except for who they had to go through to get there!)
the 2006 team sucked well before the tourney, was obvious to anyone following them that they were in trouble; the 2002 team, in contrast, were a marvel of passing and surges (thanks in part to hiddink and to simply a better, balanced stable of players imo)
(the 2010 team i have no idea because i gave up following them when i gave up t.v. altogether in late '06) |

I think under Fabio Capello , the team is working as a much more cohesive unit, much more tactically disciplined and organized.....and he doesn"t let the players fanny about after games unlike under previous coaches.
I think England are in with a very good chance but that's what we say for most World Cups
I think the cooler weather will help England this time too. Don't think our players fared very well under the 30+ degree heat and high humidity in the previous world cups) |
