They had to change the name here in Korea...

Myth.

totally craptacular.

I like watching those shows just to laugh along obnoxiously with the obnoxious laugh track.

Raymond did legitimately crack me up on a few occasions, though. As for 2 1/2 men. Good grief.

Haha, I watched a few minutes of it on Youtube to remind me. How did that ever make it to television? The acting is shockingly bad.

A lot of those shows age poorly. I loved Gilligan's Island and Three's Company as a boy. Now I can't stand to watch a whole episode.

I never liked anything with Pat Sajak [edit: that should be Bob Saget] in it. Most shows with cutesy, over-smart kids in it like Webster or Different Strokes were irritating.

Try as I might, I never liked Seinfeld. To me it was like a slightly more adult Three's Company, where someone would give the wrong impression and then spend the show trying to correct it and making things worse.

Will and Grace

Good list except for Will & Grace. It ages really well. The best part of the show was their ability to seamlessly transition from comedic moments to dramatic ones and back. VERY hard to do. Great characters and delightfully pretentious at times, plus a steady stream of one-liners by Karen Walker.

As for other sitcoms

Whatever NBC tried to stick between Friends and Seinfeld, and Seinfeld and ER in the 8:30 and 9:30 timeslot during the 90s.

Anything on UPN

The Nerd- it was CBS for one episode in the 90s, had low budget video and was absolutely atrocious. I think it had Martin Short in it.

The Nanny

Roseanne

Whatever that show was with Patrick Duffy, Suzanne Sommers, and Cody aka the Code Man Sasha Mitchell. In fact any TGIF sitcom was pretty bad, but Perfect Strangers with Balki was always good for a chuckle.

Coach

Best shows we didn't watch (tie):
Roc (Live) A well written and acted sitcom featuring an African-American cast? Bah, give us more Martin and Homeboys in Outer Space. Rolling Eyes
The Mary Tyler Moore Show (unless you're like, old)

Yes, the history of television is riddled with awful sitcoms.
I won't bother naming any of the short-lived mid-season filler ones, but I really didn't like A Different World or Silver Spoons.

Sheesh, I wasn't thinking and confused two people. Embarassed I meant Bob Saget (America's Funniest Videos, Full House).

Like Tony Danza, he seems only capable of playing one character, and an irritating one at that.

take your crap and get out of here.

I only started watching How I met your mother a few weeks ago and I sky plussed the entire series and sat and watched them in my g.fs house over three nights. I think it's funny in a stupid way, barney is a hero amongst men!!

I like the big bang theory but I could happily miss it or watch it, I wouldn't give up my time doing something else to catch it.

Although I could do without the laughter track on both.

Comedies I loved.

Keeping up appearances
are you being served?
Only fools and horses
father ted
The Office (english version)
The Inbetweeners
Peep Show
Phoenix Nights
the old 'last of the summer wine'

There are a few more, just can't be bothered thinging about them.

As a younger guy I usually enjoyed the following. Now they would look absurd, maybe still a little funny because they are so idiotic.

Happy Days
Three's Company
Different Strokes
Cosby Show
Full House (nah, hated it even when I was a teenager)
The Nanny
My Two Dads
Will and Grace
Caroline in the City

guess there are more. that's all I got for now.

I'm not sure it's fair to judge some of those shows by today's standards.
