best.thread.ever.

Incidentally, aboxofchocolates, I LOVE that you called me 'sarahhobbittown'!!!

It clearly beats my current username, AND I am huge nerd who loves Tolkien with the fire of a thousand suns! Thus, it's both practical AND amusing!

Have a drink or three for me and Merry Christmas or *insert your preferred greeting*

Cheers!

sarahhobbittown

and a general PS to all and sundry....is it just me or have people been being banned left and right lately?

This thread is ridiculous, but that's precisely the reason why it needs to hit the five-page mark (at the very least).

Who's with me?!?!?

I'm guessing you meant picasso, but I'm still around and I suspect I will now spend Christmas eve wondering what my sh*terbabble is. Oh and for the record, I like you guys too. ( less drunk, more sleep deprived here)

Merry Christmas gang!

Merry Christmas to you, too, aboxofchocolates!

But what, exactly, have you been drinking? We want details!

Me, I'm testing my new bottle of Tesco Special Reserve Oak Aged Scotch Whiskey, at 12,000 won or so a bottle.

I'll be with you in about an hour.

Is this a Homeplus bottle? I gotta try this. I've been away from the UK for so long I've missed most of the Tesco own-brand liquor. I believe their own label Dutch beer is re-labelled. Grolsch. Or it was about 6 years ago anyway. Hopefully their Special Reserve Oak Aged Scotch Whisky is a premium single malt, hopefuly a peatey one from Islay, which has just been re-labelled as Tesco own brand. That'd be awesome.

Let us know how it tastes.

In Korea? For 12,000 won?

Ummmmm, let's just pretend.

Get yourself a nice empty Scotch bottle and put this stuff in it.

Then drink.

I guarantee if you finish half the bottle you will be just as happy, if not happier, since you will be free of the guilt of pissing away 30,000 won.

(Last time I looked, the Tesco beer came from Belgium.)

keep up the good fight.

that's not 'keep up the good fight cause yer in korea'..

it's not korea we're struggling with, it's life itself. (i said i was drunk, right?)

i have loved my time here. i've met lovely people and had good times, and i don't wanna leave. and i do wanna leave too. hmm.

i've no idea who the people on this website are. but i bet yer all, mostly, really good people to be around. i went to a dave's gathering several years ago, and everyone was very normal and interesting.

anywho, yea...Merry Christmas!!

Joke: What's the difference between tiger woods and santa?

Answer: Santa stops at 3 Hos

I love you kids too. I love your brave spirits, your traveling-fool souls, your love for each other. If sometimes it comes with a little rowdiness, drunkenness, and just plain disrespect, c'est la vie. Staying connected, even thru the ether, is important. And I'm happy you have this place, among others, to share, vent, whatever. Just stay safe, k?

Draz, get on a msg (MSM, AOL, trillian, etc.) with 'someone who knows' and have them walk you thru Skype. You'll first need a credit card to charge time too, if the person you're calling isn't using Skype too. Maybe a headset with a mic? A good friend who happens to be techie is a very valuable asset in this day and age. Wink

Awww!!! <3 Merry Christmas and I wish I was in Korea drinking with you!

Right now it's almost 2pm in NY and I have to meet an old friend from high school for coffee, then my mother and sister and I have to go to a friend's house for a "Polish Christmas." There's borscht, perogies, mushroom soup, fish, and lots of booze~!

Then tomorrow we have to go to our other friend's house and have a Greek Christmas dinner, then my future-in-laws for dessert. My poor sweetheart is all alone in Seoul today Crying or Very sad He comes home in 2 months, but I'd rather be there with him! Peep!
