I live in jeollanamdo so im stuck with muju :'(

It sucks. Seriously sucks. The only thing you can say thats good about muju (aside the view), is that it opens relatively early due to the snowblasters. Looking forward to getting my stoke on and core shotting my board on the rocks due to a crappy base-layer of snow sometime this november Smile

If you find yourself unfortunately stuck at muju during the winter months (and especially teh weekends), heres my one piece of golden advice:

Get on the echo lift EARLY, then get the chorus lift up to the top (or is that the other way around), and stay there. Never come down past the middle of the mountain unless you really really have to eat pizza for lunch.

So long as you stay on the top half of the mountain it isnt too bad. Theres some gnarly terrain and some decent steeps up there, but its pretty short (5 minute runs unless youre a beginner). But the one thing it has over the rest of the mountain is this:

No one but hiking tourists seem to go there. Thats nice. So while its BEDLAM at the bottom half, and the lifts back up are a freaking nightmare (20+ minute queues), once you're there its pretty peaceful. It makes it okay for an afternoon if youre pushed. You can stretch it out to a day, but unless youre just starting its kinda crappy. Heres a link to the review i wrote the first day i went:

The picture of the sheer number of people at the base makes me laugh every time i see it. Smile

Jackson Hole...best ski resort in the world. Their tram that goes 4000 vertical feet in 8 minutes sets it apart from the rest. Americans and Canadians are pretty spoiled with our embarrassment of good ski resorts in the Rockies.
