Sorry, just a quick insurance question as long as people are already talking about it. The OP said that the guy at the gu office called the insurance place for him- and that is the same way I got my insurance for the first time years ago. But I am wondering, is that the normal way people do it, or is it some special foreigner treatment that may or may not happen?
I ask because I am going to register my new motorcycle today. Just wondering if I can expect someone there to set it up for me, or if I should try to get it set up beforehand.
Stupid question, I know. Thanks! |

I think the guys at the gu office will do it for you if you want. But you can probably go in there with insurance papers and they'll just sort out the plate for you.
I suppose Koreans get insurance themselves, but it didn't seem getting them to do it was too 'special', he had the broker cards already.
The guy at the gu-office simply phoned a couple of brokers for me who both came back with the same amount. You might want to try getting it cheaper elsewhere. |

I need to bump this thread.
Any idea for an English speaking place to get insurance for a Daelim Forte 125cc?
My Korean is not too bad (TOPIK level 3), so I might could do it in Korean face-to-face.
Thanks for any help. |

Bumping one more time.
Funny, there's a realtor on every corner, but insurance salesmen, zero.
Any idea where to buy motorcycle insurance?
Thanks |
