How can you have never heard of Heart? Their work in the '70s was damned good rock and roll.
And if you don't know who John C. Garand was, you're not an American, and I hope the undead U.S. GIs from WW2 come to eat your soul. |

LOL You could have used better English
Oh and Rain is pretty famous, probably more than a few of those Canadians on the list.
It is funny the OP doesn't know one of the cast members from Lost is Canadian (I didn't know that either), nor that one of the cast members from Smallville, and now Chuck is Canadian (I knew that...but her role on Smallville killed her as an actress for me...though I still wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating cookies.) |

I agree on Dion, but Nickelback? Are you kidding me, they are currently the most famous Canadian band outside of Canada.
Funny story: being outside of Canada for 10 years, I never heard of them. I heard of them when I would tell people I was Canadian, they would always ask me if I've seen Nickelback live...so yeah through my travels I have recognized they seem to have a big following outside of Canada. |

Wouldn't the facts that they totally suck and are currently one of the worst known bands on the planet = national embarrassment? It's certainly wouldn't be good press for Canada if the "band" started touring with Canadian flags hung all over venues/arenas*. Big following does not always equal good things.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Jennifer Aniston yet. Isn't she Canadian? Never been a fan of anything she's done, though (including Friends--I'm a Seinfeld snob).
*Or maybe it would, among people with poopy taste in music. |

| Keanu Reeves? According to Wikipedia born in Lebanon of British and American parents so claiming him as a Canadian is stretching it a bit. Mind you, saying he's got any talent is as well, ha ha. |

Jenifer Aniston is American.
And she was in Office Space, so she's cool in my book.
