Blame.
Nobody has touched on this. Its easy to point the finger at irresponsible parents addicted to computer games.
However if you delved deeper you would have found a young unemployed couple (who had to be supported by parents) unable to make ends meet and retreating from the harsh reality of life into a virtual online existence.
Economic losers in a highly competitive society whose govenment keeps ordering its people to make babies ("because our overcrowded country must keep growing") yet does nothing really to support poverty-stricken young couples who actually do make babies. |

Second that. Who is going to take care of their online baby while they are in prison? |
Quotes like this reveal the quality people that frequent Dave's.
What a great place to hang out! |

If it's easy to point the finger at irresponsible parents addicted to computer games it's because it's so obviously right. I've yet to see any new developments in the story that claim the parents were forced to have a child and then forced to leave it to starve to death.

Life sucks, yeah, but that's no excuse to abandon your responsibilities, especially when one of those responsibilities happens to be the care and welfare of an infant. |
