It ought to be obvious to anyone that going into North Korea illegally is next-level stupid, but it ought to be especially so when there's precedent (the other American guy who did the same recently).
If you really, really want to go, get a visa. It's not easy for Americans, but they do give tourist visas. |

They go through China. It is guarded but there are no land mines. |

One does not simply walk into Mordor errrr North Korea... but really if they want to go let em. It will be a valuable learning experience for them. |
