Maybe they behave differently in front of other women because I have never had a problem with a woman refusing an offer of food. The Korean women I have worked with would have consumed the whole box. At every place I have worked at in Korea there always seems to be at least one woman who is capable of filling a tray with donuts at Dunkin's and eating the whole lot by herself. Incredible. Always made me feel like I was suffering from diabetes just watching.

At my last school all the female teachers had what could be called healthy appetites. They were always congregating in the main office to eat something between breaks. Oh how I hated to have to go into the office to use the computer at those times. The sounds and smells that would greet me as I opened the door (chomp chomp slurp slurp)...
