| My internet was also set up by one of my Korean co-workers (A month ago). He got me the same package that he has and did it under his name without telling me...pretty strange. The thing that is bothering me (and that is really strange) is that he has tried to convince me numerous times that I should stay with the package I've got even though I have voiced my concerns that it is really slow..as in 2MB/s slow...and that I want him to please get it disconnected. But he keeps saying 'hmmm I'll think about it'. So frustrating, it's not his decision. I'm just gonna do it myself and mail the modem back to TCN this weekend. |

Well, he may have signed you up for a year long contract, and he may be facing cancellation fees if you switch providers.
Why would he do this? Well, ISPs have various sign-up bonuses, up to and including 150,000 won cash, up front.
Now, perhaps he really was trying to do you a favor, but it is possible he just wanted the money. |

hey i'm with KT right now, it was just setup here when i got here. I pay 38,000 and i can't test it with that korean site cuz i have a mac with no internet explorer.
anyways I download torrent files (fast ones) at a rate of about 200Kb/Second....and speednet says my connection is 1.76 Mb/second ...so is something wrong with me net? I keep hearing about people's insanely fast highspeed connections here...
Could it be my modem is too old? I noticed the connection plugs into my wall. |

I'm on QOOK and am very happy. The fact that their customer service is awesome. Whatever problem I have, just call the customer center (English) and they automatically send someone. My cat chewed my cable wires before and they sent someone to fix it with no extra charge. I pay about 33k per month. They do have great package deals but I didn't bother getting cable. I'm very satisfied with regards to torrenting and youtube and stuff. But I can not compare it to others since I have been with KT, KTF, QOOK, and the rest of their family since forever.
Speaking of avatar, it's wormholes101 that got me. Seriously! I still have the fly-swat beside me. |
