Hip, hip hurray!
Let's have three cheers for industry and technical expertise and know-how. |
Congratulations to the Aussies, who work hard to keep their pristine waters blue and full of beautiful tropical fish and Whales.
Unlike China's dirty coastline. |
You have a point. Congratulations to Queensland politicians like Anna Bligh and Heavy Kevvy flying in with their construction helmets on to take charge (as if they'd know what was needed in engineering terms to refloat a tanker)
The Great Barrier Reef has been threatened by far more than this. Dr Endean and the Crown of Thorns starfish, for instance. |

US Fights Oil Spill
Crude oil is pouring out at a rate of up to 5,000 barrels (210,000 gallons or 955,000 litres) a day..an environmental disaster that could cost billions of dollars as a huge oil spill reached coastal Louisiana, imperilling shrimp fishing grounds, oyster beds and fragile wetlands with a rich variety of wildlife.

Happy now?
...or will that moment only come when you can walk across the pacific on a sea of trash and the last Polar bear is dead. |
