Same for China. These communist countries also give North Korea VOA. That's too bad it has to be that way, becuase I'm sure their are good people and a good experience to be had in what are probably beautiful places. |

Yeah, a number of other countries charge Americans what the USA charges those countries' citizens for a tourist visa. The ones where I've had this lovely experience were Syria, Bangladesh, and Turkey (although Turkey quickly reversed this policy when the # of American tourists dropped dramatically). |
