Another good place to shop in Daejon is COSCO. You can buy some foreign goods that you can't get elsewhere. It is located next to Seodeajeon Station.

There is an interactive map (scroll around, zoom in/out) of Daejeon here:

On the left side menu click Web GIS (I have no idea why it doesn't say 'map' but it doesn't for some reason).

Daejeon is a groovy place. I especially like the Daejeon police and everybody associated with the Ministry of Justice in this lovely enlightened town! No kidding, I'm gonna miss the place, and I reckon I'll be back as soon as a few things blow over here.

There was another string of daejeon related info posted on Dave's a while back, do a search...
