This is boring. Please don't derail such an interesting thread with this kind of childish activity. |
How intriguing that you talk about childish activity when your current avatar is a video of a guy performing all manner of facial excercises including tongue wagging, eyeball rolling, and nose picking.
Is that a self portrait? I guess so, cause you are the one who is Interested in that avatar.
I concur with the sarcastic post made by rollo, although my reply to the OP is not sarcastic, just my honest response that is a disagreement and not a derailment.
The OP asked for feedback and he did not specify that he only wanted feedback from people who agree with him.
The problem is that the question asked by the OP is a loaded question, and I generally don't do loaded questions.
I don't agree that there is an "ignorance of fact and present reality".
As well I disagree that disparaging Elie Wiesel makes "such an interesting thread".
Well, it wasn't interesting until rollo and I gave it some interesting perspective.
You see Interested, you think that tongue wagging, eyeball rolling, and nose picking is interesting, I don't.
I think it's childish and boring.
You think that having a different opinion than the OP is boring and childish, I don't.
I think it's interesting.
It's called having an opinion. |

As usual, pseudo-intellectual, anti-Semitic "progressive" leftists slam Israel, democracy, freedom and religious diversity. |
I like him. |
Have you read this?

Mosley will love it. |
I'm on a waiting list for it at the library. I am not all that interested in the conflict. I respect NF because he slams the use and abuse of history and pejoratives. |

| So weisel has an opinion and perhaps his opinion is based on a poor reading of history. I beleive that Jerusalem was built by jews originally. Except for extremist crusaders there was some interfaith tolerance for the most part. the president of Cairo University who is a moslem wrote that Jerusalem was umbilically Jewish . Opinions that dont agree with ours are part or the ferment that advanes knowledge. |

It was more than just a personal "opinion". It reached millions of readers and was paid for by parties yet undetermined but most likely the Prime Minister's office.
Further, it is not only the egregious "religious" entitlement and factual errors and blatant lies that are not only harmful - it is the process itself. That public opinion (what we might label "knowledge" but I'll let you define this subjective term yourself) can be manipulated by those in authority through others who are respected (but in need of money/influence). It is called "selling your soul to the devil" and that whichever way you flip it, is harmful to any advance of knowledge. We used to call it Propaganda. Now it is just "influence".
