I agree the show isn't what it used to be. No Lex? Best character on the show.
The point made earlier about them keeping him from flying and becoming superman to prolong the show is on point. I hate when I can feel the writer in the room. That seems to happen more and more often now.
Smallville is fantasy, so of course it pushes the believable. Still, the show was straight forward enough at the beginning. Parents wanting to protect their child. A boy who was different wanting to fit in. Well, he isn't a boy anymore. It is time to man up, or superman up in this case. |
Oh hey look, Lois met up with ZOD, and not CLark as the Blur.
Now we have Lois apparently knowing that Clark is the Blur, I wonder if they are going to have some intervention from either Jorel or the Future to have her forget this fact? |

Now see that was a decent season finale. Hope to see things get better next season on the way to the series finale.

If you dislike the direction of the show so much, and I do admit that the last couple of seasons haven't been the best in terms of the full-season arc (they have all had some really fun episodes within the seasons however), then why do you continue to watch the show? I mean, if you think it's THAT bad then why continue to waste your time? |

when you have invested 8 years already in a show, you still have an interest in seeing where it goes. There is Just enough to keep me wacthing just so I can see how they handle it. This season Finale actually was not all that bad, its just sad that it takes an entire season to build up to a decent episode.
As I said, they just keep dragging out the idea, but since I have watched this long to see him evolve into Superman, I will continue til the end, and n most cases be disappointed along the journey |

See, that's the funny part. I feel the same way in a sense but I also feel they delivered a number of solid episodes over the last two seasons... it's just they didn't fit into the season arc like they should have which diminished the good stuff contained within. I like seeing episodes that try, however dismally, to introduce other DC characters. But then, I'm a nerd that way!
If you're gonna watch this long, sure, bitch about it but at the same time appreciate some of the good episodes as well. |

I do agree that the show is not what it used to be but I still like it although Clark's stupidly keeps eating at me.
If Earth really has a superhero I don't want him to go all Dick Cheney but damn going a little Dexter every now and then ain't so bad. |
