i think you are getting so much cr*p in here because when I put a point across to you, you ripped my head off with your post. Perhaps a nicer response would have been better.

Your comments are still coming across as sarcastic, angry and 'i know better than you'.

If you say the water purifier is good for you, then so be it, other people should also be aware of the subsitutes.

well, all those points and no one wants to pay 30,000won a month to rent a machine they will never own. if you fell no one will buy it outright, Perhaps you could set it at 30,000 a month and own it after a certain time?? like a hire purchase.

my bad for "ripping your head off" with my post on your first comment but i thought you were intentionally trying to be negative to keep people from getting the purifier b/c of the way you made your comment.

i figured nobody would want to own it if they're not going to be living in korea forever. and if people are not willing to buy a 1.5 mil won purifier for 300k won, i don't know what to say. like i mentioned before, i'm not making anybody rent/buy it. if someone gets it, then they get it, if they don't, then they don't. I myself am an English teacher here and i'm pretty sure that majority of the others that visit this site, if not all, are also English teachers and I know how "we" are. we're very cheap and try to spend as little money as possible. we'd rather go through the hassle of buying and carrying bottled water instead of using a comfortable purifier b/c it's cheaper. "we" dont use regular cellphone plans but use the pre-paid plans just to save an extra dollar. so keeping those things in mind, i wasn't expecting anyone to get this purifier but just posted it b/c there might be that one person that would like to have this purifier.

this is the first I have ever heard of the guy to be honest. I'm sure he posts but I have never paid attention to them before.

I only know one other person apart from myself on daves. Some ex colleagues and perhaps some current ones post here but I have no clue who they are.

I did a google search on alkaline water, which is linked to a disease called Alkalosis. Who's to say what's true or isn't true, but I find the symptoms amusing given the tone of this thread. As for me, I'm going to lay off the premium alkaline water for a little bit.

http://www.apswater.com/article.asp?id=206&title=Alkaline_water_and_Alkalosis_-__Carefull_trying_to__raise_your_pH

Symptoms and Diagnosis

Alkalosis may cause irritability, muscle twitching, muscle cramps, or no symptoms at all. If the alkalosis is severe, prolonged contraction and spasms of muscles (tetany) can develop.[/b]

wow! I'm impressed. someone actually did their research (i'm not being sarcastic. just impressed to see someone that's not lazy and actually do their research on alkaline water) but didnt do a "full" research.

TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING IS BAD FOR YOU. water is good for you but u can also die from drinking too much water. and i'm not talking about alkaline water. just any water. i'm pretty sure you saw that on the news (you can google that and it'll come out too). brushing your teeth is good for you but too much brushing is bad for you. it'll damage your teeth. get my point? alkaline is good for you but too much of it can be bad for you. that's why there's alkaline level of 1-4 on the purifier. it has picture of which level to use for what. example. level 1 is good for drinking, level 2 is good for cooking rice, level 3 for coffee, level 4 for cooking soup etc.

any other questions or comments... feel free to speak up and i'll be more than happy to answer.

in fairness, those symptoms and problems don't seem too bad....I have known many people to die due to vast amounts of water....such as this

there's no limit to all these good/bad url's to alkaline water. but it is a proven fact that it's good for you and i actually know people personally that got a lot better (health) from drinking alkaline water. I'm the type that do not believe in anything i hear because that's all people do... just talk. i do my research, NOT ONLY ON GOOGLE but i actually do real research before jumping on the bandwagon.

forget the alkaline or all this other stuff... i just wanna know does anyone want a damn purifier?? Laughing

Warning: don't be a facilitator of fraud

There have been instances most recently of members being defrauded involving transactions arising from this forum.

While Dave's ESL Cafe assumes no responsibility or liability for such illicit activity, maybe it should exercise some moral responsibility and show appropriate caution, good judgment and common sense when deciding which posts to allow and which ones to delete.

Suspect behavior should be apparent to the Mod Team if they are actually paying attention.
