she'll top out around 120.
with a 150 carb (50,000won) and a simple muffler mod (free) it'll go around 130.
its a pretty popular mod for these bikes but i didn't really ride it around enough to want to go faster.

edit* the maximum speed i've ridden it is at 108kmph.
the dash has a function to check the top speed that it has gone.

jdinkorea: a million won is a reasonable budget for a 125 bike in this country. What's your problem?

Such an expensive sportbike doesn't have fuel injection? That means a Daelim Roadwin is much better equipped. The benefits of fuel injection speak for themselves. More power, better fuel economy, and a fuel injected bike is much easier to cold start.

It's funny to see how ambiguous the op has been with the top speed. He should have mentioned that riding anywhere near 100 kph for an extended period of time in a 125 will ruin the engine. A single cylinder engine is not balanced properly and will tear itself to shreds if it runs close to redline for too long.

As for the top speed goes, 108 kph makes sense if the op was riding down a mountain with a typhoon tail wind. Face it hockey, the only way your bike is gonna go 120 kph is if you drop it from an airplane. A bigger carb and a free muffler mod is not going to help. So you can stop exaggerating and bashing other posters on your thread.

Since it's a bike that is useless outside of the city, and your best offer is 1 million, I'll offer 1.1 million pending a test ride and thorough inspection of the bike.

I can consistently hit a top speed of 116km/h on my Hyosung RX125 so I don't think you know what you're talking about Dude. You're being pretty un-Dude here, man.

wow, and he's back.
once again to be self-owned.
you obviously have no idea about motorcycles or life.
125cc's can't go over 120? i don't even feel like trying argue with you.

the only poster i'm bashing is you... troll

you offer 1.1? now i know why you've been such a coward. you want to buy my bike but you don't have enough funds. go buy yourself another mirage and deal with the fact that you can't afford anything over a million won. Just stop coming in here. I wouldn't even sell you this bike for 10 million won.

and why did you erase all your self-ownage posts? i told you i wanted you to keep them.

dude,

108 is pretty common for a non injected 125. This bike will likely hit 120 just as he says. My crappy Hyosung RT125 would do it no problem with only a high flow air filter and a racey exhaust...

Yes, the injected Roadwin would do better (topping out at 130)...but then it doesn't have the looks of this one, nor is it an Italian import. It's also possible that this bike has better guts (It could have gear driven cams for one thing allowing it to be revved higher and thus be driven to a higher top speed without the need for injection). I bet this bike can go faster than 108...OP go an give it a try and let us know.

I think we all know that 125s are not meant to be ridden at this speed and will need an engine rebuild if you do it all the time... stating the top speed does not mean he's a lying.

Give it a rest. it's a very cool little bike and he deserves the price he's asking. Don't be a *beep*.

Yeah, weird that my Daelim runs at a top speed of 120+. I guess cause it is fuel injected it boosts it that much more, lol.

Thanks Brooks, v88, byrddogs... dude's been hitting the bong a little too much it seems.

As far as the top speed goes.
I'm sure there were atleast a few hundred rpms before redline when I let off the throttle as I was still accelerating. Never really checked, never wanted to go near redline. This bike is not even broken in technically.

4strokes don't even need rebuilds for awhile. Unlike 2 strokes, but thats a different story.

My cbr125r has over 15,000klms and still going strong I redline it pretty much 10-15times a day. Its been over 120 numerous times.
All it has is a larger jet size, open filter, and exhaust. The final gear ratio is what stops it from going faster (useless).
But in reality, who buys a 125 for topspeed? No one.

4stroke = reliability in terms of 125cc's. Fuel injection does do wonders for cold starts, flow at higher rpm and so on, but at times it can be a bit*h. Costlier to fix, tune, etc. All you need with a carb'd bike is some carb cleaner and a screw driver and you're good to go.

Hockey, you want me to "GTFO"? Keep your posts relevant to your bike, and I'll happily leave you alone.

Is the odometer broken? Thanks to your new pics, it clearly reads much closer to 1,000 than 500. You shyster!

Wow, looks like the 125 cc owners club all got together on a friday night, only to spend their time checking out each other's maximum speeds and posting on Dave's.

To set the record straight, I never deleted anything from this thread. You compained to the mods that I had listed several bikes that were cheaper and better than yours. (Better is a subjective term, but I'm talking about function.) They deleted several posts, not just mine.

Nothing is quite as funny as watching someone with a bit of a Napoleon complex try to defend themselves over something trivial. You shorties got all worked up over my last post. As far as self ownage goes hockey, the joke's on you.

its full size. bigger than the cbr125r...

same size as a comet, aprilia rs125, gt125-250...

Compensating for anything?
